Are your suppressors compatible with ____ brands muzzle device's or QD's?
Click to reveal. That is going to depend on three factors.
Factor 1 – Suppressor Thread Pitch
- You will need to identify your suppressors thread pitch and if your QD is available in that same thread pitch.
HUB / Bravo / 1.375×24 – This is the industries most common thread pitch and has the most versatile mounting. Common in rifle, multi-caliber and sub gun suppressors.
Alpha / 1.125×28 – Most commonly used in pistol suppressors.
Direct Thread – Your suppressor mount cannot be changed out. Most common in Rimfire suppressors or older rifle suppressors.
Factor 2 – Mounting Depth
Allowable Depth – This is the distance from the back of the suppressor to the tip of the blast baffle. All of our suppressors have the allowable mounting depth listed on their product pages.
QD Standoff – Every QD has a different “stand off”. Stand off refers to the difference in location of where the muzzle device mounts to the QD in relation to the back of the suppressor. Some QD’s generate a longer distance from the blast baffle and others decrease the distance.
Muzzle Devices – When choosing a muzzle device and QD to match with your suppressor, you must take into account the “stand off” & how much the muzzle device protrudes past the stand off. This will give you the total distance your combo is protruding into the suppressor. Compare that to the allowable mounting depth and you will know if the setup will work or not. If you do not know the mounting depth of a QD or muzzle device we suggest you reach out to the manufacturer.
Factor 3 – Type
Flash hiders – These are available in 3 or 4 prong as well as closed tine. These are known for rapidly increasing erosion in suppressors. These are not suggested, but close tine is preferred over a pronged flash hider if required.
Muzzle brake – This is the best option for your suppressor if you are looking to run a QD. They will aid in the suppressors performance and prolong the life of the suppressor.
